  1. So here is a little bit more about these pictures. Jacob is quickly becoming the center of our lives, as most children do. These pictures show Jacob is some of his more 'classic' positions. The first one (on top) shows him in one of his and our favorite sleeping positions. He puts his hands in the air and seems to sleep so much better when he does. We use to try to swaddle him so that he couldn't do that, but he usually just wiggles until his arms are free, so swaddling has gone by the wayside.

The next two show what a scriptorian our boy is becoming. We broke out the baby-sized book of Mormon and then he just really started going at it. It was fun to see him start to fall over the book and then quickly take the picture and then grab him before he ate it into the couch. I think that these are some of my favorite pictures of him.

Finally we have been trying for a long time now to get a picture of him smiling really big. We love it when he smiles and Becca will spend 30 mins. at a time just sitting with Jacob trying to get him to smile. Sometimes he really does well and it makes Becca smile and laugh everytime. After awhile though he starts to get tired so Becca puts him down to sleep and that is when he tries to fight sleeping because he stills wants the attention from mom.

We still love taking him on walks and being around him.

  2. I cannot believe how much this sweet little babe has changed since you guys came through here three weeks ago! Crazy. He is the cutest and he sounds like my kids. None of them liked to be swaddled. They wanted to be free to express themselves, like Jacob. :) Expect a phone call from me soon, as it has been too long. Love ya!
